It’s always on point to have an extra set of eyes catching the little things that can reduce the time in post edit. On this shoot, I had an awesome crew to touch up makeup or ensure every lock of hair was in place
Connection
I’m always encouraging models to connect with the camera, to think of an experience that will invoke a true feeling. In the end, my goal is to have the viewer connect with the image as well
Emote!
It was fun shooting Sam because she knew how to emote. I’m always looking for those facial expressions that show natural emotions
Make It Official
This shoot was all about the story. In Hawaii, all you want to do is get to the beach at any lengths. So I collaborated with Tiara for swimsuit design, Jenn for makeup, and a crew of assistants to make this shoot fire. We found this lonely road to set the mood of free spirited friends trying to find their way to the beach. Although the gorgeous models, Sam, Elle, & Vanessa met for the first time on set, we challenged them to portray a long standing friendship and they delivered when I picked up my camera. Working with fun passionate people is how we made it official
